Created a list of various start-ups that may become very influential in some market places and effect life as we know it. Do you have a one we should be watching and/or funding?

Chainanalysis - New York-based Chainalysis makes cryptocurrency investigation software that can shine light on how people use bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and more. Financial institutions use the technology to screen customers and comply with regulations designed to prevent money laundering, while government agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation can identify illicit transactions and investigate alleged criminals.

Cybereason - While working on cybersecurity in the military, they came up with the idea for Cybereason, a cloud-based cybersecurity platform specializing in continuous monitoring and response to advanced cybersecurity threats.

Divvy - Expense tracking service Divvy is taking on Concur and Expensify by offering its budgeting, fraud detection, and spend management tools for free. Instead of charging per user, Lehi, Utah-based Divvy gives businesses custom Mastercards and takes a cut of merchants’ fees to the bank when people make purchases.

Duolingo - The world’s most popular digital language-learning tool, seven-year-old Duolingo has 28 million monthly active users. Most use the free version of its gamified courses. Revenue, largely from subscription fees from ad-free Duolingo Plus, is expected to double this year.

Faire - In a bid to help mom-and-pop stores survive in the age of Amazon, Faire wants to take the risk and hassle out of wholesale purchasing. The San Francisco-based company helps retailers discover and buy new products online, and will accept free returns from them within 60 days for items that don’t sell.

Grove Collaborative -  Around 60% of its revenue comes from products not sold on Amazon, says Landesberg. But he wants to do more than sell Seventh Generation or Method soaps online. In 2016, Grove started to manufacture its own all-natural products that now make up nearly 50% of its sales.

Patreon - Using Patreon, artists offer exclusive experiences in return for contributions from their subscribers or “patrons.” HBO’s Issa Rae, Humans of New York founder Brandon Stanton and comedian Heather McDonald are some of the creators currently using Patreon and by 2019, the company expects to pay out more than $1 billion to its users.

Gemini - Gemini is a cryptocurrency trading platform that allows users to buy, sell and store their digital assets. The platform supports both individual and institutional investors who trade everything from bitcoin to Litecoin.

Perch - Real estate tech startup Perch makes it easier to buy and sell a home. The platform lets buyers choose from an inventory of certified pre-owned houses — on the opposite end, it lets sellers request an offer, schedule an inspection, and choose a closing date in three simple steps.

Farmers Dog - People are starting to take the health of their pets as seriously as their own. That’s why in 2014, a pair of pup-lovers founded The Farmer's Dog to make it as easy as possible to provide them with the best nutrition.

Narrativ - Narrativ is a machine learning platform that matches products to the content created about them at massive scale. The startup has a library of millions of products matched to expert reviews from top commerce publishers like The Strategist, Wirecutter, and Best Products, enabling retailers such as Macy's, Ulta and Dermstore to bid on $25 billion of annual consumer spend.

Splice - Splice isn't just another music-making tool — it aims to be a new kind of "creative ecosystem" for DJs, producers and other computer-based music projects.

Bowery - Bowery grows pesticide-free produce in indoor farms, often located in cities, managing everything from the seeds to its proprietary, farm-controlling software system. "Bowery farms use zero pesticides, 95% less water, and are 100+ times more productive on the same footprint of land than traditional agriculture,"

Epic Games - Epic games is the creator of game sensation Fortnite, as well as Infinity Blade, Unreal and others. It also makes the Unreal Engine, the super popular development tool for creating 3D and VR games.

The Helm - The Helm is a community and venture fund for women that makes it easy to find and buy products from women-owned businesses as well as invest in those businesses.

KeepTruckin - KeepTruckin provides a physical electronic logging device in trucks that tracks vehicles in real time, plots location history on a map and manages fuel taxes.
