Staying Cool in the Hot, Hot Summer Heat

Low tech methods may include:
  1. Using that light colored umbrella to bring your own shade
  2. A nice straw hat keep the sun off the head and let air flow through
  3. A nice loosely fitting cotton garments creating an airy insulator
  4. A hand fan to create some breeze
  5. Spritz yourself with a water using a spray bottle
  6. There is always the water hose, water balloons and super soaker
  7. Swinging in a shaded hammock is cool too.
  8. Big shade tree
  9. Hang out near or in the lake, river or ocean
  10. Hang out at movie theater,gallery,mall ( for those with no fan or AC at home)
 
More techy solutions may include less physical effort but you may need some power source or some advance preparation:
  1. Dyson bladeless fan
  2. Ventamatic solar fan
  3. Portable AC unit
  4. Blight solar blinds
  5. Bedfan blows air over you as you sleep
  6. Cooling seat cushion for your car.
  7. Keep your drinks cold in a thermos or Swell Bottle
  8. Fan misters or mini-mister for those on the go
  9. Air conditioning clothing (AC unit built into the garment)
  10. Remote control cooler on wheels
  11. Iceless wine chiller (no dripping mess a quick cool refreshing beverage)
  12. Nearly instant ice maker ( for those who enjoy cold drippy mess)
  13. Clothing with cooling liquid or gel like vests, hats, and bandanas
  14. Chilly Pad Cooling towel
