Its all about the goals, priorities and focus to get it done and make you happier.

  1. Presently where and how has your time been spent. Take a typical week (7 days) and note how you are spending your time at work or school and especially outside your committed obligations. Note the activity, type of activity (thinking, writing, conversations, and doing) it is and if you like it or not.
  2. Set your priorities and write out the things that are important to you. Ultimate goals you want to achieve with a tentative timeline. People who are doing what they like and the things which they value the most have a happier and more fulfilled.
  3.  Use a planning tool like a phone application or day planner or pocket diary to carry your list of goals and short list of to do list close at hand all the time in order to reinforce your focus.
  4. Take time to organize by clearing the initial clutter and follow a regular method to act on information you come across. Your actions will fall into 4 areas:  keep, give away, toss, or delegate. Organization tools may include file cabinets, or small containers, scanner, computer or index cards.
  5. Stop procrastinating! Break down task to smaller ones (bite size). A journey of a 1000 miles start with a single step.
  6. Schedule time for activities in blocks be realistic (i.e. you’ll know what time of day you’re most productive and those times when your interrupted from step 1). Keep your scheduling in one capture system in one place and have it easily accessible. Maintain your focus most things are not life and death urgent (respond to email 3 times a day morning, midday and evening). Let people know the times periods you will be unavailable period [stick to it!].
  7. Review your plan at the beginning of everyday. If you like making To Do List make it short like 3 or 4 things with 3 back of things  in case you complete your list of the important ones. If you have some routine actions try consolidating them.
Acknowledge what is important to you for all aspects of your life for  health, relationship, job, education, mentally and physically.
